These large pin top balusters were made for a custom in Mississippi. They designed them completely (usually design is a collaboration between Architectural Turnings and the customer- but in this case THEY grabbed the bull by the horns). These are really one of my favorites. The bases are extra large for interior balusters at 2 1/2 inches. But what I like about these is the long slender tops (1 inch) with the shorter (by comparison) vase shape below - very graceful I think. These are turned from poplar and were to be painted.
