I call these my pottery balusters because they were inspired by the Pottery Barn catalog like the pottery newel that I turned for the same customer in South Alabama. These are obviously alternating balusters and if memory serves correctly they were installed strictly on a balcony and not on the stairway. Either that are the customer used a closed stringer stairway so that all balusters were the same overall length. The balusters measured 3 inches in diameter and were turned from poplar to be painted.
