This is another rendering of the table I am working on for my wife. I saw a similar design some time back and wanted to reproduce it. I have fluted the columns even though they are not fluted in the drawing. The columns are 7 inches at the widest and 24 inches high. The diameter of the table top is 60 inches or five feet. I plan to paint and glaze the base and stain the top. I'll probably make the top from Sapele (similar to mahogany but not as expensive).  The painted base is made mostly of poplar.  (I'm using scraps from my workshop to make the parts ).
