Synopsis: Marble Staircase

I thought this marble staircase was interesting. This staircase has a single "spline" or "vertebra" to carry the treads and weight of anyone brave enough to walk up (minimalism with a capital "M"). At least I don't think I would be comfortable walking up and down these every day. Possibly one would get used to it after a while. This is definitely not the best staircase to have if there were kids present either. I think this is someone more interested in making a design statement that having functional staircase to be used day in and day out. You can view the rest of the images here: Marble Stairway
