This is a fine water color rendering of a newel and staircase by PKastmiler.  Most of my newels at this point are "turned" newels (that is turned on a wood lathe.  I do, however, want to eventually offer this old style of ornamented box newel.  Please note the balustrade system as well.  Instead of individual balusters, Kastmiler has modeled these.  Very nicely done!  Enjoy PKastmiler's other renderings.
