These are a set of mahogany newels produced for a customer in North Carolina. Actually, A stair company contracted me to do the job. They, like many stair companies, are geared to stock stair parts from stair manufacturers. They have difficulty providing something different than what's available to the general public. And so, I occasionally will get a call form a stair company that specializes in custom stairways but not custom stair parts.
