This is another baluster prototype that I have developed. The distinct feature of the baluster is the tapered foot. It's not likely that you will find many balusters with tapered feet. The profile is closer to would you would expect in a four poster bed. I have drawn the foot at one inch in diameter. As such, it would require a dowel screw instead of a 3/4 inch wood dowel. The tapered section above the square is stretched to accommodate the extra length above the tread. Let me know what you think.
