My most frequently requested newel, the N108 oak newel post is the largest newel that I produce. Though most of my customers order this large newel in red oak we also produce these in maple, cherry and poplar. Other woods are available upon request. This fine newel post requires a custom made cap to fit the profile of your handrail. If I am not providing the handrail I ask my customers to ship a small cross section of their handrail to me to create the cap. See installing newel caps for how this works. This massive newel is sent to you ready to paint or stain. It is available in Red Oak, Maple, Poplar and Cherry. If you need another wood species let me know.
