Shipping and Returns
In-Stock Products – We have a complete line of stair products in inventory including newels, treads, balusters (both wood and forged iron) handrails, fittings as well as skirting, risers and hardware. These are shipped FOB North Carolina.
Our terms of sale are F.O.B. our factory. The responsibility for damage in transit is the carrier’s, whether it is visible or concealed damage.
Inspect your shipment immediately. Insist that visible damages be indicated on your copy of the freight bill.
Open boxes within 15 days of delivery, inspect for concealed damages and report any discrepancies. No adjustments will be made for discrepancies not reported within 15 days of receipt.
In case of damage, notify the delivering carrier immediately, requesting that inspection be made. Place a phone call to the delivery carrier and confirm with a written report, holding a copy of the request for claim purposes.
We take every precaution to ensure safe arrival, but our responsibility ceases when the shipment is turned over to the carrier.
Claims of damages must be made by you to the carrier within 15 days of receipt of delivery.
Do not return any product without our authorization.
Call or email us at to obtain a Return Goods Authorization (RGA#). We will fax or email you a shipping label that MUST be used.
Returned products must have packaging equal to original factory packaging (with adequate protective padding material and cardboard securely fastened.) Archturnings WILL NOT be responsible for damage incurred because of insufficient packaging.
Return merchandise will not be accepted by us from the carrier unless it is returned freight prepaid within 15 days of the return authorization date.
Packages must be clearly marked with the RGA number. package(s) with that number.
Returned parts will not be credited that are (1) marked on, (2) modified in any way, (3) exposed to
excessive sun or moisture, (4) have sheetrock mud, primer, stain or job-site damage. For stair parts to receive credit, they must be in resellable condition. Returns are F.O.B. buyer and are subject to a 20% restocking charge. No returns allowed after 60 days from date of invoice.
Architectural Turnings has the right to refuse any return.
We DO NOT guarantee safe delivery.
Custom Made Products Turning products that are custom ordered and made at our plant in Baton Rouge,LA cannot be returned unless there is a manufacturers defect (eg as a defective glue joint or severe checking). Please contact us within 15 days and submit a digital photo of the defective part. Custom turned products that are damaged in delivery are subject to the same process noted above.
Return requests made for custom products will not be considered after 30 days
